On December 1,2016, we held a “Global CSR Committee” with All Overseas Subsidiaries.
We reviewed compliance, Overseas Subsidiary's CSR activity report and the 2016 fiscal year CSR activity report. We reviewed the 2017 plan to expand the global environment protection activities.
We confirmed that they will promote the entire company's CSR activities.

The 48th Clean Campaign was held by USUI worker's union on November 26, 2016.
We did trash picking along the roadside around the Headquarters.
We'd like to contribute our local community and sustain this commitment through cleaning in Shimizu-cho.

USUI KOKUSAI SANGYO KAISHA, LTD. held an opening ceremony at our new plant in Ichinoseki, Iwate on November 7.
The ceremony was successfully conducted with attendance of representatives from Toyota Motor East Japan, Inc. Iwate prefecture, Ichinoseki city, and related parties.
We will continue to supply our high quality products to help in the reconstruction of Tohoku.

USUI exhibited in IAA Commercial Vehicles 2016 held in Hannover, Germany from September 22 to 29, 2016.

On September 24,2016, As part of CSR activities for stakeholders, we presented “USUI Presents Berlin Philharmonic String Quintet Concert” at Mishima Citizens Cultural Center.
1200 people appreciated Eine kleine Nachtmusik of Mozart, among other songs.
We had a wonderful time listening to a world-class performance and thoroughly enjoyed it.

In June 2016, JIAXING USUI TSURUMI (JIAXING USUI TSURUMI PRECISION TUBE INDUSTRY Co.,Ltd) held a groundbreaking ceremony at the new plant of Economic and Development Zone in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang, China.
It was successfully held in the presence of the Development Area Administrative Committee and many other participants.
In the new plant, we will produce stainless steel pipes to meet the global demand as well as an increasing China market.

USUI KOKUSAI SANGYO KAISHA LTD. signed a Location Agreement with Ichinoseki city on June 23 for establishment of a new plant.
This will be our eleventh plant in Japan.
We will continue to support for the reconstruction of automotive industry in Tohoku.

2016 Automotive Engineering Exposition will be held in Portmesse Nagoya Exhibition Hall, Nagoya, Japan from June 29 to July 1, 2016.

On April 1, 2016, USUI KOKUSAI SANGYO KAISHA, LTD. held a ceremony to welcome our new employees. In attendance were the chairman, the president, the directors and the labor union representative.
The ceremony was a great success with speeches given by the chairman and the president, greetings from the labor union representative, and a speech of appreciation from a new employee representative.

USUI Kokusai worker's union went on a ski trip to Hakuba Valley Tsugaike Kogen from January 22, 2016 to January 24.
Because there was so little snow in the ski area for this season, we were worried that we would not be able to ski. However, just before our trip, a heavy snow fell and the ski slopes were in good condition. So the participants enjoyed fresh snow.
This event helped to promote more friendship between the employees. We plan to have various events and tours in the future.

On January 29th 2016, “USUI Policy Briefings” was held at the convention center in Numazu City.
Thanks to many suppliers' participation, we were able to explain the global business plan, purchase quality policy, and global procurement policy.
In addition, we presented “Supplier of the Year Award” to the excellent and cooperative suppliers which were based on QCDSM comprehensive evaluation of 2015.
