On December 10, 2018, as a contribution to the local community, we held a factory tour for 102 3rd graders of Nirayama elementary school.
Students came to our factory, as part of their classes, where they learned about "work at a factory. They were amazed at our factory and machine movements which they have never seen before. They listened to our employee's explanation and took notes with enthusiasm.
We hope that this factory tour will make students interested in manufacturing and they will become great engineers who support not only Shizuoka Prefecture but also the world in the future.

Usui participated in the Overseas Internship program sponsored by Shizuoka-ken Education Board. This was the second time continuing from last year.
The Board is promoting the overseas internship program to foster global human resources, and selected 6 students from Shizuoka-based high schools.
Usui invited the students at Usui Japan on July 27 and at Usui International Corporation in Thailand on August 22.
The students had a lot of opportunities to learn Global Company Business, and they also realized the depth and keys of Manufacturing.
We hope this experience will be useful for them to think of their work and life in the future.
Usui will continue to contribute to the local community by the internship program.

Usui Co., Ltd. invited Philharmonisches Streichquintett Berlin on July 21 2018. The event acted as a part of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) for the stakeholders.
The concert was held at the Large-Hall of Numazu Civic Culture Center as "Usui Presents Philharmonisches Streichquintett Berlin ~ Invitation to the moment of healing Classic".
Some 1500 people gathered at the concert and they really had a wonderful moment with 7 pieces including Tchaikovsky's String Serenade in C major Op.48.
On July 20, the day before the concert, the members of Philharmonisches Streichquintett Berlin had a music education and training to the local elementary and junior-high school students. The students had a chance to show their performance at the concert on July 21.
The audience had a wonderful and healing time with the best of the best performance by Philharmonisches Streichquintett Berlin.

On April 2, 2018, USUI CO., LTD. held a ceremony to welcome our new employees. Attendees included the chairman, the vice chairman, the president, the directors and the labor union representative.
The ceremony was a great success with speeches given by the chairman and the president, greetings from the labor union representative, and a speech of appreciation from a new employee representative.

On January 26th 2018, “USUI Purchase Policy Briefings” were held at the convention center in Numazu City.
Thanks to many suppliers' participation, we were able to explain the global business plan, purchase quality policy, and global procurement policy.
In addition, we presented “Supplier of the Year Award” to the excellent and cooperative suppliers which were based on QCDSM comprehensive evaluation of 2017.
