We signed the Land Purchase Contract at Izunokuni City Hall on December 10, 2019.
On that day, a Representative of USUI met with the members of the City Hall, and the Media for this contract.
USUI is committed to contribute to the Automotive Industry through the state-of-the-art products at this new plant.
USUI also believes that the plant will develop the local economy, as well as more employment from the local community.

On December 3, 2019, as a contribution to the local community, we held a factory tour for 99 3rd graders of Nirayama elementary school.
Students came to our factory, as part of their classes, where they learned about "work at a factory."
They were amazed at our factory and operating machines which they had never seen before.
They listened to our employees' explanations with enthusiasm.
They asked a lot of questions, and their interest in the factory has deepened.
We hope that this factory tour will make students interested in manufacturing, and that they will become great engineers who support not only Shizuoka Prefecture, but also the world in the future.

USUI is committed to assuring the well-being and safety of our future generation.
As an effort to assist in school safety and improve students' learning environment, USUI is honored to donate security cameras to a local elementary school near our Gotemba plant.
A special ceremony was done on November 19, 2019 at Fujioka Elementary showcasing the new camera installations.

On August 7, 2019, as a contribution to the local and international community, USUI participated in a "Shizuoka prefecture company study tour for U.S. students".
This study tour was jointly conducted by Sophia University and University of Shizuoka as part of a mutual exchange program between students from Japan and the U.S. that was adopted by the Ministry of Education.
The participants were four American students from Sophia University and four students from University of Shizuoka.
They deepened their understanding of the company by actively asking questions during presentations and the plant tour. We hope by having this experience they will be able to connect their own learning with society.
USUI will continue to contribute to the international community through such activities.

On July 16, 2019, PT. USUI INTERNATIONAL INDONESIA held a commemorative ceremony for the opening of its second plant in the GIIC Industrial Park in Bukashi Prefecture.
In order to meet the demand in the Indonesian automotive market, the second plant manufactures mainly chassis-related braking pipes and fuel pipes for automotive parts.
We will strive to respond to the needs of our customers and contribute even more to local communities with a spirit of harmony.

USUI invited two students from the American School in Japan (ASIJ) to participate in our three weeks seminar beginning June 17, 2019.
ASIJ responded to a request from USUI and introduced this program on its Alumni website.
We began this program three years ago to broaden our contact with bilingual staff and students and to introduce them to the wide range of opportunities in a global corporation.
Interns were introduced to our sales, manufacturing, product design, and production engineering divisions.
They deepened their knowledge about an automated parts company and about our technology.
On the weekends, interns enjoyed a variety of activities including sailing and a tea ceremony.
As a global corporation, USUI found the many benefits of cultural diversity within its global community so we plan to continue this internship program.

USUI SUSIRA (USUI SUSIRA INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED) held an opening ceremony of its Greater Noida satellite plant on 9th of July 2019.
We will produce Under-chassis pipes for gasoline and diesel vehicles at the satellite plant to meet the rapidly growing demand in the Indian automotive market.
We will do our best to respond to our customers' expectations.

This award is given to the 133 of its best performance suppliers from 15 countries worldwide, providing the most innovative technologies and delivering quality vehicles.
Usui International Corporation won this award due to flawless launches in many projects of Gasoline direct injection products.
We are very honored by this award from GM and will keep improving our customer satisfaction continuously in the future.

On April 25, 2019, as a contribution to the local community, we held a factory tour for 16 3rd graders of Izusogo high school.
In Izusogo-Toi branch high school, factory tour is planned as a part of class to form their path awareness. They were amazed at our factory and machine movements which they have never seen before. They listened to our employee's explanation and took notes with enthusiasm. After the tour, we received feedback from the students that "It was very meaningful for me because I think about the concrete path."
We hope that this factory tour will lead to the development of the students' work and profession views and make them choose their own path.

On April 1, 2019, USUI CO., LTD. held a ceremony to welcome our new employees. Attendees included the president, the directors and the labor union representative.
The ceremony was a great success with speeches given by the president, greetings from the labor union representative, and a speech of appreciation from a new employee representative.

On February 12, 2019, as a contribution to the local and international community, Usui participated in "Shizuoka prefecture company bus tour for international students 2019" sponsored by Shizuoka Association for International Relations and Fujinokuni consortium.
Twelve students from Vietnam, Korea, China, Nepal, Indonesia participated. They were impressed with the commitment to detail in manufacturing by observing the parts of automobiles and production process that can not be usually seen.
We hope this experience will be useful for them to connect their own learning and society.
Usui will continue to contribute to the International community through such activities.

On January 25th 2019, “USUI Purchase Policy Briefings” were held at the convention center in Numazu City.
Thanks to many suppliers' participation, we were able to explain the global business plan, purchase quality policy, and global procurement policy.
In addition, we presented “Supplier of the Year Award” to the excellent and cooperative suppliers which were based on QCDSM comprehensive evaluation of 2018.
